Things to do nearby

How to get to the hotel
Venice Marco Polo Airport is about a 15-minute drive from Mestre. The hotel will be happy to arrange a shuttle for you if you request it when making your reservation. Treviso Airport is about a 30- to 40-minute drive away. If you’re arriving by train, get off at the Venezia Mestre station, from where you can reach the hotel in a few minutes by taxi or bus.

Arrival and Mestre wander
Feel free to leave your luggage behind and take a pleasant stroll through the centre of Mestre. Piazza Ferretto is the perfect place to visit. The square is home to cafés, and the surrounding streets are lined with many shops. How about taking a short break at the hotel bar or restaurant before dinner to enjoy an aperitif? If you still have some energy left, a game of table tennis at the hotel would be the perfect way to end your first evening.
A full day in Venice
Get off at the “Venezia Mestre” station, cross the causeway, and take the train toward “Santa Lucia.” The trip takes about 10 minutes. In the morning, take a stroll to the Rialto Bridge and the area around the market, then walk south toward St. St Mark's Square and enjoy a cup of coffee there with a view of St. Mark’s Basilica. In the afternoon, get intentionally lost in the streets of Dorsoduro and try a few “cicchetti” at a small “bacaro” before catching the train back.
Theatre night and lagoon edge
Head towards Porto Marghera to see the working lagoon edge, then return to Mestre for lunch at a trattoria near Piazza Ferretto. Book ahead for an evening show at Toniolo Theatre, just under two kilometres from the hotel, and round the night off with a nightcap at the hotel bar.
Islands morning and checkout
On your last morning before departure, enjoy Venice to the fullest. From Santa Lucia Station, take a vaporetto to the island of Murano and participate in a glassblowing workshop. If you have time, you also recommend visiting the island of Burano, home to a row of colourful houses. After a light lunch by the water, return to Mestre to pick up your luggage. If needed, the tourist office can arrange a transfer to Marco Polo Airport.

When is the best time to visit Venice?
