Astra Suites sits on the cliff edge in Imerovigli, the highest village along the Santorini caldera. The whitewashed buildings step down the rock face, so most suites look straight out across the water towards the volcano and the open Aegean. Imerovigli is quieter than Fira or Oia, with a walking path that runs along the rim past Skaros Rock. The town centre is about 200 metres away, and the harbour sits roughly 1.8 km below.
What to expect
The booking covers a Suite of around 60 square metres with a private bathroom, air conditioning and breakfast each morning. Honeymoon-style touches and a coffee setup come as standard. Across the property there is an infinity pool that drops towards the caldera, a sun terrace and an outdoor dining area used for evening meals. Expect plenty of steps and sloping paths between the rooms and the public spaces, which is normal for cliffside Santorini hotels.

Saint Nikolaos Holy Convent is the closest point of interest at 648 metres, an easy walk along the village. The Thira Archaeological Museum and Megaro Gyzi sit about 1.7 km away in Fira, both reachable on foot or by a short taxi. Santorini Old Harbor is roughly 1.8 km below the cliff. The airport is around 6.7 km away, so transfers are short.

Arrival and first sunset
Arrive from Santorini airport, around 6.7 km away, and settle into the suite. Spend the first evening by the infinity pool watching the light change over the caldera before dinner on the terrace.
Skaros Rock and Fira
Walk the caldera path from Imerovigli towards Skaros Rock, the old fortress headland just below the village. Carry on into Fira for lunch and a look at the Thira Archaeological Museum.
Volcano boat and Oia
Take a boat trip out to the volcano and the hot springs, or head up to Oia for the afternoon. Return in time to catch the sunset from the hotel terrace.
Last morning swim
