The setting
This resort is in the relatively quiet northern part of Sunny Beach and enjoys an ideal location right on the sea. It features its own private beach and a spacious garden with more than 300 palm trees. Although the area around Sunny Beach is a lively resort area, this part of the resort is quieter and more like a residential neighbourhood. The centre of Sunny Beach is about 1.5 km away and can be reached on foot along the promenade. In addition, local buses run to the city centre and nearby villages.
What to expect
A big beachfront complex with 730-plus rooms and apartments, nine restaurants and bars, two 1,500 m² pools and a dedicated children's pool. Guests get free Wi-Fi and free parking, a fitness centre and mini golf on site. Rooms come with air conditioning, a TV and a hairdryer. Families have a playroom and a children's playground to use during the day.
Things to do nearby
The town of Sunny Beach is just a few minutes’ walk along the coast, and the bars, shops, and boardwalk are right nearby. If you want to enjoy an atmosphere a little different from that of the resort area, Velecha Park and the Sand Fest Burgas in Burgas are also within easy reach. Since the private beach is right at the entrance to the building, in most cases you won’t even have to leave the complex—you can walk straight from the pool terrace down to the sandy beach.

Ideal for families who want a pool, a playground, and a private beach all in one place, as well as for couples who appreciate the quiet neighbourhood on the northern tip of Sunny Beach but prefer to live in close proximity to restaurants and bars.
How to get to the hotel
Burgas Airport is the nearest arrival point, located about a 35-minute drive south along the coast; this is where most summer charter flights from the United Kingdom arrive. The most convenient way to get to the hotel is by taxi or with a pre-booked shuttle service. If you rent a car, free parking is available on the airport grounds. Varna Airport is about a 90-minute drive north and is therefore a bit farther away.

Arrival and first look at the beach
After checking in and dropping off your luggage, head straight to the private beach to take a look around. Stroll along the sandy beach from one end to the other, dip your feet in the Black Sea, and then grab a lounge chair by one of the two 1,500 m² pools. Later in the afternoon, consider taking a stroll through the palm-lined garden, followed by a relaxing dinner at the on-site restaurant to kick off your holiday and recharge after your flight before turning in early.
Pools, palms and a slow start
Take the first full day at the resort. Alternate between the two big pools and the beach, break for a cold drink at a poolside bar and let the kids burn off energy at the children's playground or in the playroom during the hottest hours. Later, walk the 35,000 m² garden with its 300-plus palms, then stroll south along the shoreline as the light softens.
Into Sunny Beach town
Take a walk along the waterfront for about 1.5 km toward Sunny Beach and fully enjoy the city’s atmosphere. Browse the shops along the waterfront, have lunch at a seaside café, and let the kids play in the arcades and on the small amusement rides located along the street. Follow the way back, you can take a leisurely stroll, stop for coffee and pastries along the way, and go for another swim in the resort’s pool before dinner.
Active day on site
How about taking advantage of the resort’s amenities for a change? Work out at the fitness centre before it gets too hot, and play a round of mini-golf in the late morning. In the afternoon, you can cool off by the pool, and for dinner, try one of the other restaurants on the resort grounds. If you still have some energy left, take an evening stroll along the beach and admire the resort’s lights.
Park Veleka day trip
Head south and spend the day at Veleh Park near Sinemorets, where the river flows into the sea. Take a taxi or a rental car and drive south along the coast to spend the day on the pristine beaches and at the river mouth, which are quite different from Sunny Beach. Bring a picnic lunch or have lunch at one of the village’s local taverns. In the afternoon, head back and end the day with a swim in the resort’s pool.
Burgas city and Sand Fest
Take the a day trip to Burgas—by bus or taxi. Take the a stroll through Primorski Park, wander through the pedestrian zone, and, if time permits, visit the “Burgas Sand Festival” to admire the sculptures. After a cozy lunch on the terrace of a seafood restaurant in Burgas, enjoy browsing a few shops, then head back to the resort to take another dip in the sea in the evening or sip a cocktail in the garden.
Slow beach and pool day
Spend the day doing absolutely nothing. Grab a spot on a private beach before sunrise and spend the day completely relaxing: go for a swim, read a book, or simply move back and forth between your lounge chair and the ocean. In the afternoon, you can head to the pool, then return to your room for a long shower before choosing another bar to enjoy a drink at sunset. If you want to spend your last evening in complete relaxation, consider dining at the hotel.

What is the best month to go to Sunny Beach?
July and August are the hottest and most crowded months here, whereas in June and September, although it’s still warm, there are fewer people and prices are more affordable. If you visit, as the hotel did on this trip, in late September, the water temperature is around 22–23 °C; it’s warm and sunny during the day, but it gets cool at night. This time of year is especially good for walks along the coast and sightseeing.
How cheap is Sunny Beach?
Sunny Beach is one of Europe’s relatively affordable seaside resorts. Meals at laid-back restaurants, local beer, and taxi rides are significantly cheaper than in Western European, and seaside cafes also offer more affordable prices than similar establishments in Spain or Greece. At the height of the summer season, prices rise the closer you get to the waterfront. Therefore, as a rule, you can save money by dining at a restaurant located a few blocks further inland.
Does it rain a lot in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria?
Except for the summer. From June through early September, there is very little rainfall, and most days are dry and sunny, although brief thunderstorms can sometimes occur. In late September, when this tour takes place, heavy rain may fall in some areas, but the sun shines warmly and brightly. In winter, it rains more often, but this time of year isn’t particularly suitable for visiting the beaches anyway.
Which is better, Golden Sands or Sunny Beach?
Both resorts are on the Black Sea coast. Sunny Beach is a large and lively resort with a vast area featuring numerous bars, clubs, and family-friendly hotels, making it particularly well-suited for groups and families who appreciate a wide variety of options. Golden Sands is a smaller, more compact resort; it is backed by wooded hills, which give it a somewhat more peaceful atmosphere. Given its location, Sunny Beach is the best choice.
Is there much to do in Sunny Beach?
Yes. In addition to the beach, the complex features a mini-golf course, a fitness centre, and a swimming pool; there is also a playroom and a playground for young children. The town of Sunny Beach has bars, restaurants, and shops, and you can also go on a boat ride. In addition, there are day trips available to the old town of Nessebar, to Burgas, or—for those looking for a more peaceful setting—to Veleka Park.
