Arrival and a slow wander
After checking in and dropping off your luggage, take a stroll to Larios Centro (432 m) to soak up the atmosphere of the neighbourhood. Grab a cold drink, walk past the British Consulate, and then head back. Have dinner at a cozy little restaurant near the hotel, and if it’s still warm, go to bed early by the pool. Since nights in Málaga in July remain warm even after sunset, there’s no need to rush.
Contemporary art morning
Let’s head to the Centre for Contemporary Art (Centre de Arte Contemporaneo), located 608 metres from the hotel. Even in the July heat, you can cover this distance on foot if you set out early enough. After spending about two hours at the museum, we enjoy lunch at a shady café. During the hottest part of the day, we return to the hotel and spend time by the pool. A little after 6:00 p.m., we head out again and take a leisurely stroll through the city centre, enjoying tapas and watching as city life picks up speed.
Beach day
Since the beach in the centre of Málaga is just a short walk from the hotel, it’s best to head there in the morning with just a light bag. Grab a lounge chair, go for a swim, and try some grilled fish for lunch at one of the chiringuitos. Head back to the hotel, take a shower, and, if you still have the energy, visit the fitness centre or the pool. Evening: Try a different restaurant for dinner. We recommend booking a table in advance if possible. July is peak season, and popular restaurants fill up quickly.
Shopping and a long lunch
Larios Centro and El Corte Inglés (659 m) cover most of the shopping you'd want, both air-conditioned and close enough to dip in and out. Pick up a few things, then settle in for a proper long Spanish lunch. Afternoon at the hotel pool. If you're travelling with kids, this is a good rest day before any bigger excursions. Evening drinks somewhere with a view.
Day trip option
If you’ve arrived by car, you can use the hotel’s parking lot and set off on a day trip. The white villages in the interior and the coastline stretching further east are easily accessible. If you prefer to stay put, Málaga offers plenty of sights to explore all day long. Thanks to the hotel’s central location, you can return and relax at any time. Since you’ll be dining near the hotel, you should return before the evening traffic begins.
Last full day, your pick
By now you'll know what you want more of. Repeat the beach, revisit a favourite restaurant, or finally walk past Marin Galy (739 m) and see what's around there. Use the fitness centre in the morning while it's still cool. Spend the afternoon by the pool with a book. Save a decent dinner for tonight — somewhere you've walked past and meant to try.
Breakfast and out
Make the most of the included breakfast one last time, then pack up. Late check-out isn't guaranteed, so plan for a morning departure. If you've time before the flight or drive, a quick coffee at one of the cafés you've grown to like beats killing time at the airport.
