November is the cheapest month to fly almost anywhere. Europe’s warm list shrinks to the Canaries, Madeira and Cyprus, which all keep low-twenties days and six or seven hours of sun. Anything hotter means leaving the continent for Egypt, the Gulf or southern India.
The other November holiday runs in the opposite direction. Alpine spa hotels reopen, Lapland starts taking snow, and the German and Austrian Christmas markets light up in the last week of the month.

The Canaries are the safe short-haul answer at 25°C with about seven hours of sun a day. Further out, the Red Sea keeps a 26°C sea on a five-and-a-half-hour flight, and Goa opens its dry season at 33°C.
Most German, Austrian and Czech markets open in the last week of November. Vienna, Prague, Budapest and Cologne all run from around 21–24 November, so the final week of the month gets you the markets at November room rates.
