About the hotel
Marriott's Grande Vista sits on the south side of Orlando, about 18 km from the city centre and closer to the theme-park side of town. The grounds have a swimming pool, a fitness centre and parking for guests arriving by car. Discovery Cove is 1.2 km away, SeaWorld Orlando 1.8 km and Aquatica around 2 km, so a day at the parks is a very short hop. Families get the most out of it, with a playroom, children's playground and a kids' pool on site.
How to get to the hotel
Orlando International Airport is roughly a 20-minute drive from the hotel, and most guests pick up a hire car on arrival since the theme parks and shops are spread out. Taxis and ride-share cars run at all hours from the terminals. Guests travelling on by rail use Orlando's Amtrak station and continue by taxi or car hire to the hotel.

Nice place to stay with kids if you need a kitchen
Nice property, it was a comfortable place to stay and quiet. It is a little on the older side, but it was fine for the price. The rooms were recently renovated.

Is this hotel a good pick for families with children?
Yes, it works well for families. Kids have a dedicated playroom, a children's playground and a separate children's swimming pool on site, and the wider grounds include a main pool and open space to run around. The theme parks nearby make it easy to plan full days out with younger travellers.
When is the best time of year to visit Orlando?
Orlando is warm most of the year. Spring and late autumn tend to be the most comfortable, with mild temperatures and lower humidity. Summer months are hot and see frequent afternoon thunderstorms, while winter is milder and drier, which is why many visitors plan park days between November and April.
What is there to do on site besides visiting the parks?
Plenty to keep you busy without leaving the grounds. You can play a round on the golf course, hit the tennis court, try a game of table tennis or work out in the gym and fitness facilities. The swimming pool is the easy option on hot afternoons between park visits.
