Why we love it

The setting

The Premier Inn at Heathrow Airport, Terminal 4, is about 22 km from central London and is situated on the airport grounds rather than in the West End. That is precisely what makes this hotel so appealing. The rooms are designed for travellers who want a quiet place to stay overnight before an early flight or are looking for a place to relax after arriving. The hotel’s design emphasizes functionality: there is parking on the premises, a bar and restaurant in the same building, and elevators in various parts of the building. The staff speaks English, Spanish, German, and Russian and is always ready to help you, even if you arrive late or have questions that require an immediate answer.

What to expect

Since free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, you can easily check your flight schedule or watch a video while you eat. The hotel features a bar where you can enjoy a drink in a relaxed atmosphere, as well as a restaurant where you can savor authentic dishes without leaving the hotel. If you arrive by car, parking spaces are available. Family are always warmly welcomed here. This is a functional 3-star hotel that places special emphasis on clean rooms, hot meals, and a convenient location from which you can quickly reach Terminal 4 in the morning.

Things to do nearby

Heathrow Terminal 4 at Heathrow Airport is right nearby, this is undoubtedly a major advantage for passengers. Loftus Road Stadium is also right nearby and is the perfect place to catch a soccer match or take a stadium tour. And if you’d like to spend a day exploring the cultural highlights of South Kensington, the Victoria and Albert Museum is also easily accessible. Central London lies about 22 km away and is reachable directly on the Piccadilly Line, so museums, theatres, and parks are well within reach.

Best for

It's ideal for families and couples looking for a cozy place to stay near Terminal 4, for drivers who need parking included in the room rate, and for travellers who require barrier-free access via an elevator.

How to get to the hotel

Terminal 4 is right next to the hotel. Terminals 2 and 3 are just a few minutes away via the free Heathrow Airport shuttle bus or by Underground from Hatton Cross station. Even with early morning flights, you'll be at the check-in counter in just a few minutes, making this hotel a convenient base for both pre-dawn departures and late-night arrivals.

Your 3 days, loosely planned

Suggestions, not orders. Tour ideas to mix and match for your trip.

Day 1

Arrive and settle in

Park your car in the hotel parking lot and check in without having to carry your luggage long distances. After unpacking, take the Piccadilly Line to central London and spend a few hours at the Victoria and Albert Museum in South Kensington. Return to the hotel restaurant for dinner, and afterward, leisurely enjoy a glass of wine at the bar. Set your alarm only if absolutely necessary. Once it stays light out late into the evening in June, there’s no need to rush.

Day 2

West London, from Windsor to Kew

To explore West London at a leisurely pace, it's best to set aside a full day. You can take the Piccadilly Line from Hatton Cross Station to the city centre and see the main attractions, or stay in the neighbourhood and stroll through the greenhouses and lawns of Kew Gardens. A taxi will take you quickly to Windsor. There, you can happily spend the whole day simply strolling through the castle grounds, along the riverbank, and through the cobblestone streets. To round out the day, have dinner at a restaurant near the hotel and turn in early.

Day 3

Local sights, easy flight prep

After a relaxing morning, you can use the free Wi-Fi to check in for your next flight. If you’re a soccer fan, it’s worth stopping by the nearby Loftus Road Stadium—the home arena of Queens Park Rangers. Otherwise, you can simply take a stroll around the neighbourhood and grab lunch at one of the nearby restaurants. Return to the hotel, pack your bags, and walk to Heathrow Terminal 4 at Heathrow Airport. The baggage drop-off point is just a few steps away, so you won’t need a taxi. And if you have a little time to spare? The hotel bar is right next door.

FAQ

How close is the hotel to Heathrow Terminal 4?

Since this hotel is right next to Terminal 4, you can walk to the check-in counter without booking a shuttle. Terminals 2, 3, and 5 are easily accessible via the free shuttle service between Heathrow Airport terminals, so you can stay at this hotel without any problems, regardless of which terminal your flight departs from.

Is it suitable for families with children?

Yes. This hotel is marketed as “the perfect choice for families with children,” and with a restaurant and bar on-site, it’s very easy for the whole family to eat here. In addition, the elevator can accommodate a stroller. Since this rate includes only accommodations, you should plan to have breakfast at the restaurant or grab a bite to eat at the terminal before your flight.

When is the best time to visit London on this trip?

Your visit will take place in late June, when London is in the midst of summer. The days are long, the weather is mostly mild or warm, and you should expect large crowds at museums and parks. Bring a light jacket for the evening and book tickets in advance for attractions in the city centre, such as the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), to avoid the lines.

Is parking available at the hotel?

Yes, there are parking spaces on the hotel grounds, which is very convenient for guests who only have a short drive from Heathrow Airport. Since parking rates in the area around the airport may differ from those at regular Premier Inn hotels, the hotel recommends checking the cost of overnight and long-term parking with the hotel when making your reservation.
