Why we love it
The setting
This hotel is on Liverpool’s waterfront, about one kilometre from the city centre, right next to the Liverpool Wheel and the ACC Liverpool conference centre. It’s a lively area with a variety of events, situated right next to the M&S Bank Arena and the BT Convention Centre; a short walk along the docks will take you to The Beatles Story exhibition. Buses to the city centre run every few minutes, and the Liverpool One shopping centre is within walking distance. In the evenings, when events are taking place, you can enjoy the unique, lively atmosphere of the waterfront.
What to expect
The suites are equipped with a refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning, and a TV, ensuring you’ll feel comfortable even during a long stay and won’t feel cramped. On the ground floor, in addition to a bar and restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before a show at the arena, there is also a fitness centre for those who want to burn off the calories accumulated during their walk. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building, and on-site parking reduces the stress of driving into the city.
Things to do nearby
The Liverpool Wheel is right at the entrance, and ACC Liverpool and the M&S Bank Arena are also very close by. This is especially convenient for those who have booked tickets for concerts or conferences. A short walk in the same direction will take you to the BT Convention Centre, and at The Beatles Story museum in the harbour, you can spend a relaxing day immersing yourself in the history of the Fab Four. In addition, all the bars and museums around Albert Dock are within walking distance.
Best for
Families and couples looking to see a show at the M&S Bank Arena, Beatles fans coming on a tour of the harbour, as well as guests who prefer a suite with a refrigerator and a separate living area instead of a standard hotel room.
How to get to the hotel
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is roughly 20–30 minutes by taxi, or the 500 bus runs into the city. From Liverpool Lime Street station it's about a 15-minute walk downhill to the waterfront, or a short taxi ride with luggage. Drivers coming off the M62 can use the on-site car park, which is useful in this busy dockside area.

Your 2 days, loosely planned
Suggestions, not orders. Tour ideas to mix and match for your trip.
Waterfront wheel and Beatles history
First, take a ride on the Liverpool Wheel, located right at the entrance, to enjoy the view of the docks, and then head to the exhibition "The Beatles Story," where, over the course of an hour or two, you can trace the band’s history from their very first steps at the Cavern Club to the present day. After lunch at one of the cafes on Albert Dock, walk past the ACC Liverpool and the M&S Bank Arena on your way back and check out the evening’s program. Then head back to your room, freshen up, and enjoy dinner at the hotel bar.
Arena district and city centre stroll
In the morning, walk to the BT Convention Centre, take a short stroll around the Arena complex, and then head north along the waterfront toward Pier Head and the Three Graces. From there, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to Liverpool One, where you can do some shopping or enjoy a late lunch. If you feel like having a coffee, head back through Chinatown and the “Baltic Triangle,” and before checking out of the hotel, spend a little time working out at the hotel’s fitness centre.

FAQ
What is the best month to visit Liverpool?
September, which is exactly when you’ll be visiting, is one of the most pleasant times of the year in Liverpool. It’s still warm during the day, the summer hustle and bustle has died down, and events taking place around the ACC Liverpool and the M&S Bank Arena are picking up steam again after the summer break. Temperatures range from about 17–19 °C, and along the waterfront, it’s quite possible that the sky will clear up in the afternoon.
How many days do you need to see Liverpool?
Two or three days are enough to see the main attractions, including the waterfront, Albert Docks, The Beatles Story museum, both cathedrals, and the Liverpool One shopping centre. If you want to attend a game at Anfield Stadium or take a day trip to the Wirral, the hotel recommends extending your stay to four days.
What is Liverpool's best season?
The period from late spring to early fall (May through September) is the perfect time to visit Liverpool. Thanks to the long daylight hours, this period is perfect for strolling along the waterfront and attending outdoor events, such as the River Festival. In early September, when this trip took place, prices aren’t as high as they are in August, and the atmosphere still feels like summer. Winter, of course, has its own special charm—for example, thanks to the Christmas markets—but the waterfront is often very windy.
Is Liverpool worth visiting as a tourist?
That's right. Liverpool combines the history of The Beatles Story, two UNESCO-listed docklands, a wealth of museums, and a vibrant music scene in a city centre that's easy to explore on foot. If you stay near the Liverpool Wheel or ACC Liverpool, you’ll be right next to the attractions in the docks area and the arena. This way, you can enjoy cultural events during the day and go to concerts or bars in the evening without wasting time on long commutes.
Is Liverpool good for tourists?
This city is very easy for tourists to navigate. The main attractions are primarily along the waterfront and in the city centre, the signs are clear, and the locals are known for their friendliness. On game days and when travelling to Anfield Stadium, public transportation is very convenient, and since this hotel is near The Wheel and The Beatles Story, most attractions are within walking distance.
