Science Centre and the south bank
Start next door at Glasgow Science Centre — the planetarium and IMAX are worth booking ahead. Wander down to the Tall Ship at Glasgow Harbour for a poke around the Glenlee, then pick up the Clyde Walkway and follow the river. Cross the Clyde Arc Bridge into Finnieston for lunch at one of the small plates places along Argyle Street, and end the afternoon back at the hotel bar.
City centre and West End
You can either walk along the small path by the river toward the city or take the Underground at Cessnock. Spend the morning, go shopping in the George Square and Buchanan Street area, then head west to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Kelvingrove Museum. Admission is free. A popular attraction is the organ concert held at noon. To round out the day, have a pint of beer on Ashton Lane, then take a taxi across the River Clyde and return to Pacific Quay.
