Royal Mile and the castle climb
Cross South Bridge, continue straight ahead toward the Royal Mile, and stroll along the cobblestone street to Edinburgh Castle to spend the morning there. After spending about two hours on the city walls, stroll through the winding streets of “The Close” and “The Wind” and have lunch at a pub near St. Giles’ Church. In the afternoon, browse the shops along the Royal Mile and round out the day with a pint of beer in the hotel’s courtyard.
