Museum Hotel Cappadocia 🌄 Unique cliffside stay

Museum Hotel sits on the cliffside of Uchisar, the highest point in Cappadocia, in central Turkey. The rooms are carved into the rock and old stone houses, so the building follows the natural shape of the hill. From the terraces you look out over the valley floor and the fairy chimneys, the cone-shaped rock formations the region is known for. Uchisar Castle, a natural rock fortress rising 60 metres above the town, is a short walk from the hotel. The property sits on the edge of Goreme National Park.

The Deluxe Double Suite is a cave room of about 45 sq m with a double bed and a private bathroom. Stone walls, vaulted ceilings and antique furniture keep the historic character of the building. Uchisar Castle is the closest landmark, a rock formation honeycombed with tunnels and chambers that you can climb for views across the whole region. Pigeon Valley runs from Uchisar down towards Goreme and takes about two hours to walk. Goreme, with its rock-cut churches and open-air sites, is about five kilometres east. Most hot-air balloon flights, the activity Cappadocia is known for, lift off at dawn from the valleys below the hotel.
