Why we love it

The setting

This hotel is in Calvià on the south-western coast of Mallorca, near Santa Ponsa, and is exclusively for adults. The suites are arranged around the pool, and in addition to a bar and restaurant, the hotel features a fitness centre where you can enjoy a relaxing morning. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, and thanks to the airport shuttle, you can reach the hotel without having to rent a car. The surrounding area is within walking distance, and shops, cafes, and the beach are easily accessible. The peaceful, adults-only atmosphere is ideal for couples looking to enjoy the sun, the sea, and moments of relaxation.

What to expect

Enjoy your stay in a spacious 4-star suite. In addition to the pool, where you can spend the day in complete relaxation, the resort also features restaurants and bars—perfect if you don’t feel like leaving the resort. In the morning, you can work out at the fitness centre, and in the resort’s surroundings, you’ll find opportunities for water sports, snorkeling, and diving, as well as a golf course nearby. Whether you prefer to relax by the sea or the pool, or take a short stroll to Santa Ponsa for lunch or to enjoy a cocktail at sunset—the days pass at a leisurely pace. Thanks to the “adults-only” policy, a relaxed atmosphere reigns here, and thanks to the extensive shuttle service, you won’t have to worry about a thing, even when arriving or departing.

Things to do nearby

The “Square Santa Ponsa” bar is right at the entrance and is perfect for an evening cocktail or a casual dinner. Platja Monte de Oro is just a few minutes’ walk away, and just beyond it lies Playa de la Punta dels Gats, where you can swim and sunbathe, as well as the even longer Santa Ponsa Beach. Calo de Perissa is a little further along the coastal path, and it’s worth taking a stroll there to enjoy the view of the bay. The entire area around Calvià offers ideal conditions for water sports, diving, and snorkeling, and for those who want to play golf after a day at the beach, there’s also a golf course nearby.

Best for

Couples and friends after an adults-only base on Mallorca's south-west coast, with suite-style rooms, a pool and easy walking access to Santa Ponsa's beaches and bars. Good for relaxed beach weeks with the option of water sports or a round of golf.

How to get to the hotel

This hotel is in Calvià on the south-western coast of Mallorca, about 6 km from central Calvià. Since airport transfers are included in the hotel’s services, you can arrange a transfer to the airport through the hotel instead of booking a rental car or taxi on your own.

A week, loosely planned

Suggestions, not orders. Tour ideas to mix and match for your trip.

Day 1

Arrival and a first look at Santa Ponsa

Take the airport shuttle, drop off your luggage, and relax by the pool for an hour or two. Once you’ve gotten used to the atmosphere here, take a walk to platja de la Punta dels Gats, have a coffee there, and take a leisurely stroll through the surrounding streets. Head to Santa Ponsa Beach to watch the sunset, then return to the hotel restaurant or choose a place in town to enjoy your first dinner in a relaxed setting.

Day 2

Beach day at Platja Monte de Oro

The water here is crystal clear and the waves are gentle, making these beaches perfect for a long swim. Plus, there are shady spots nearby if the midday heat gets too intense. After lunch at one of the beach cafés, spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing by the hotel pool. Before dinner, enjoy a “sundowner” cocktail at the bar.

Day 3

Snorkelling and quiet coves

Bring your snorkeling gear and head to the small cove of Calo de Perisel—this trip is worth getting up early for. There’s plenty to see around the underwater rocks, and the water is still crystal clear in the morning. On the way back, you’ll pass by Punta dels Gats Beach, take another dip, and then enjoy a hearty lunch in town. You’ll spend the rest of the day relaxing by the pool or with a book in hand.

Day 4

Water sports along the bay

Spend the morning on the water. Santa Ponsa's bay has the set-up for paddleboarding, kayaking and diving trips, so book something the night before and head down once it's properly warm. Rinse off back at the hotel, grab a late lunch, then take the fitness centre for a spin or simply doze by the pool. Walk into town for dinner and a cold drink in the square.

Day 5

Day trip to Palma

Catch the bus or drive into Palma for a change of scene. The cathedral, the old town lanes and the harbour easily fill a day, with plenty of café stops along the way. Have lunch at a tapas bar, browse the shops in the afternoon, then head back to Calvià in time for a swim before dinner. Keep the evening low-key with a drink at the hotel bar.

Day 6

Golf or a slow pool day

Split the group if you need to. Golfers can book a round at a nearby course; everyone else gets a proper pool day with long lunches and short walks. Late afternoon, take the coast path towards Caló d'en Pellicer for the light on the water, then meet back up for dinner. Try somewhere new in Santa Ponsa or stay put at the restaurant on site.

Day 7

Last swim and the journey home

Take your time packing your bags, take a short break to enjoy a cup of coffee in the square, and do some last-minute shopping at the nearby stores. Your airport transfer has already been arranged, so you can spend the morning completely relaxed.

FAQ

Who does this stay suit?

Since the resort is exclusively for adults, it’s ideal for couples, groups of friends, and solo travellers looking to relax in a peaceful setting. Children are not permitted here. The layout of the apartments, as well as the pool, bar, and restaurant, are perfect for a relaxing beach holiday, and since the resort is just a few minutes’ walk from Santa Ponsa, you can also enjoy shopping, cafes, and strolls along the promenade.

When is the best time to visit?

In late July, if your trip is scheduled for this time of year, Mallorca is in the midst of summer. Although the days can be hot and dry, the sea is warm, and you can enjoy long nights that are perfect for relaxing outdoors. Since the beaches are expected to be crowded, the hotel recommends reserving restaurant tables in advance whenever possible. If you’d like to enjoy a quieter sandy beach at Platja Monte de Oro or Cala den Perissa, the hotel recommends getting there early.

What is there to do on site besides the beach?

The hotel features a pool, a fitness centre, a bar, and a restaurant. In the surrounding area, you can enjoy water sports, snorkeling, and scuba diving, or work out at the gym. Since there’s also a golf course nearby, you can combine relaxing by the pool with active recreation without having to travel far.

How close is the hotel to Santa Ponsa Beach?

Santa Ponsa Beach is just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel, and Platja Monte de Oro and Playa de la Punta dels Gats are even closer. Calo den Perisel is just a short walk away along the coastal trail. Even without a car, you can comfortably enjoy different beaches every day.
