Why we love it

The setting

This hotel is in Sant Jordi de Ses Salines, right next to Playa d'en Bossa. Just a few steps from the hotel entrance lies a sandy beach, and Bossa Beach stretches along the coast. This is the liveliest area of Ibiza, lined with beach bars and clubs one after another; however, since this is an adults-only resort, a peaceful atmosphere prevails here. Local buses run to Ibiza Town and the airport, and you can walk from one end of most of this area to the other.

What to expect

This is a 5-star adults-only hotel featuring a pool and a fitness centre, as well as several restaurants, such as “Minami” and “Montauk Steakhouse.” Free Wi-Fi and free parking are standard, and shuttle service can be arranged. This is a hotspot for those who love to have a good time: music plays by the pool, and the rooms are perfect for both daytime relaxation and late-night adventures.

Things to do nearby

Playa D'en Bossa stretches out below, and Bossa Beach is just a few minutes’ walk away. If you’re looking for a change of pace, the hotel recommends visiting the “Anfibios” restaurant, located right nearby. In addition, families visiting the area often stop by Gran Piruleto Park P. Bossa, located a little further down the road. For those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the beach and are looking for a quieter spot, the hotel recommends C.R.I.C. Ses Salines, which is a little further inland.

Best for

It’s perfect for couples and groups of friends who’ve made the most of their summer in Ibiza—with relaxing moments by the pool, time on the beach, and fun-filled nights at the clubs. It’s ideal for travellers who want to stay in the centre of Playa d’en Bossa and don’t prefer secluded spots.

How to get to the hotel

Ibiza Airport is about a 10-minute drive from the coast, making it one of the most easily accessible places on the island. This is especially convenient for those arriving on night flights. Taxis are always available outside the arrivals hall, and buses run along the entertainment district of Playa d’en Bossa. In addition, you can book a private transfer when you reserve your hotel. Ferry dock at the port in Ibiza Town, from which it’s about a 15-minute drive north to the island.

A week, loosely planned

Suggestions, not orders. Tour ideas to mix and match for your trip.

Day 1

Arrival and toes in the sand

Check your luggage, put on your swimsuits, and head straight to Playa den Bossa. Spend the afternoon, find a spot on the sandy beach, order a refreshing drink, and soak up the atmosphere. At sunset, take a walk north along Bossa Beach to find the spot where the music is liveliest. Then have dinner at one of the restaurants on the resort grounds and go to bed early to rest up after your tiring flight.

Day 2

Pool day and sunset drinks

Snag a lounge chair, take breaks between swims, and enjoy the background music by the pool. If you feel like stepping out of this relaxed atmosphere as the evening approaches, visit the fitness centre. After showering and changing, enjoy a drink at sunset. Spend some time before dinner strolling along the nearby promenade, and start the evening off quietly to prepare for the spectacular night ahead.

Day 3

Ibiza Town and the old walls

In the morning, take a bus or taxi to the city of Ibiza Town. Stroll through the Old Town, “Dalt Vila,” which is surrounded by fortress walls, and enjoy the view of the harbour and the coastline. Have lunch at a café in one of the narrow alleys, browse the boutiques, and pick up something to treat yourself to later. In the afternoon, head back to the hotel to cool off by the pool, and after sunset, head back into town to stroll along the harbour promenade while enjoying some tapas.

Day 4

Diving or water sports day

How about booking a scuba dive or trying your hand at water sports along the coast of Playa den Bossa? Paddleboarding, jet skis, and boat tours—it all starts right here. Spend the morning at the beach, then treat yourself to a relaxing lunch on the sand. Back at the hotel, you can take a quick nap by the pool, then head to Montauk Steakhouse for dinner. If you prefer a more elegant atmosphere, you also recommend Minami.

Day 5

Ses Salines and salt flats

To take your minds off your daily worries, you head south to the Ses Salines Nature Reserve. You’ll stroll through the salt flats, watch the flamingos (if it’s the right season), and then head further south to Bossa Beach, considered one of the most beautiful on the island. Enjoy a cozy lunch at a “chiringuito,” take a dip in the crystal-clear sea, and late in the afternoon, feeling slightly invigorated by the sun, return to spend a relaxing evening on the terrace after a shower.

Day 6

Big night out

Let’s save this day for the main event. The pool, reading, the sea—and so on, over and over again. After enjoying a hearty dinner early in the evening, you’ll take a stroll along the Playa d’en Bossa promenade and pick a club with a lineup you like for the night. Thanks to the hotel’s convenient location, you can easily walk back at any time. That’s exactly why this hotel is always fully booked.

Day 7

Slow morning and departure

Between swims, gradually pack your bags, return your key, and then make your way quickly to Ibiza Airport, located about a 10-minute drive along the coast—either via the free parking lot or with a pre-booked shuttle. If your flight is delayed, check your luggage at the front desk and enjoy your time on the beach for as long as possible, right up until the last minute.

FAQ

Is this hotel suitable for children?

No. Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel is adults-only, so guests must meet the minimum age set by the hotel at check-in. Families travelling with children will need to look at a different property on the island.

When is the best time to visit?

In early August, when this trip is scheduled, Ibiza is in the midst of peak season. A string of hot, dry days is on the way, the sea is warm, and the club scene is at its peak. Since the beaches along Playa d’en Bossa are expected to be crowded and the nightlife is lively, it’s recommended that you reserve restaurant tables and boat tours before you arrive.

What is there to do on site besides the beach?

The hotel has a swimming pool, a fitness centre and water sports facilities including diving on the doorstep. You can also visit hotel's parties or work through the on-site restaurants and bars, from Japanese at Minami to steaks at Montauk and drinks at The Oyster & Caviar Bar.

How close is the hotel to the clubs on Playa d'en Bossa?

It’s right nearby. Since the hotel is right on the Playa d’en Bossa promenade, you can walk to the main clubs and beach bars along the sandy beach or the promenade. That way, even after a long night out, you can easily walk back to the hotel.

Is parking available for guests with a hire car?

Yes. The hotel offers free parking, which is especially convenient if you plan to explore the island by car—whether it’s a trip to C.R.I.C. Ses Salines, the north coast, or the small coves. Since parking spaces are generally assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, try to arrive early if possible.
