Cafes and taverns line the walking trail connecting Imerovigli with Firostefani and Fira. Instead of a bustling nightlife, a peaceful, picturesque atmosphere prevails here, and local buses running along the main street connect the village with other parts of the island.

Things to do nearby
The Monastery of St. Nicholas is very close by and easy to reach by taking a stroll along the charming paths above the cliffs of Imerovigli. In addition, Santorini's Old Harbour and Athinios Port al are just a few minutes’ drive away, so you can go on boat tours around the caldera or to the island of Thirasia.

Those who prefer not to drive can arrange for a shuttle when making their reservation.
How to get to the hotel
Santorini (Thira) International Airport is about a 20-minute drive from Imerovigli; when you book your room, your hotel will be happy to arrange a shuttle for you. The ferry docks at the port of Athinios Port; from there, it’s about a 25-minute drive to the southern side of the caldera. Taxis and pre-booked cars will be waiting for you at the port. If you plan to travel around the island, this port is the main point of arrival during the height of summer.

Arrival and first caldera sunset
Upon arrival at Santorini Island, take your pre-booked transfer and check in at the hotel. After you’ve taken your time unpacking, consider taking a dip in the pool before the sun gets too hot. Take a walk along the cliffside trail from Imerovigli to Firostefani and enjoy the view of the caldera to the fullest for the first time. Choose a taverna with an outdoor terrace, order some grilled dishes and a glass of Assyrtiko wine, and stay there until sunset.
Imerovigli walks and the convent
Start your day with breakfast on the terrace and enjoy a peaceful morning by the pool. Then take a stroll along the small path lined with white walls—which offers a view of the sea—to the nearby Monastery of St. Nicholas. Later climbing Skaros Rock and enjoying the panoramic view of the caldera, return to the village and have lunch at one of the cafes. In the afternoon, book a spa treatment and end the evening in a completely relaxing atmosphere.
Fira and the old port
Head to Fira on foot or by bus—it’s about 2 km away—and spend the morning strolling through the shops, small museums, and cafés at the foot of the cliffs. Take the cable car down to Santorini Island’s old port, stroll to the small chapels and the pier, and then take the cable car back up. In the late afternoon, take a bus or taxi to Oia to admire the famous sunset, and on the way back, have dinner at a quieter spot.
Caldera boat day
Book a tour on a catamaran or traditional boat at the port of Athinios Port and spend the whole day at sea. Most tours head to Red Beach and White Beach, with a stop at the hot springs near the volcano and a stop at Thirasia, where you can go for a swim. Since you’ll return late in the afternoon, you’ll have time to freshen up at the hotel, relax on the balcony, and then have dinner at the Firostefani wine bar.
Slow morning and departure
Have a long breakfast and one last swim in the pool. If your flight or ferry is later in the day, walk a final stretch of the caldera path and buy a bottle of Vinsanto or some capers to take home. Check out, arrange a transfer to the airport or down to Athinios Port for the ferry, and give yourself time for a coffee before you leave.

Is the hotel suitable for children?
Yes. This hotel is marketed as “ideal for families with children” and features a pool that’s perfect for family holidays. However, since it’s a quiet village on a cliff with an atmosphere more suited to couples and newlyweds, it’s better suited for older children and teenagers than for very young children, who need plenty of space to play.
When is the best time to visit Santorini?
In early August, the days here are consistently hot and dry, with temperatures ranging from 28 to 30 °C, while the nights are warm—perfect weather for dining al fresco. Since this is peak season, the Caldera hiking trail, the sunset at Ié, and the boat tours are very crowded. It’s best to book tours and restaurant reservations in advance. If you’re planning a trip, there are fewer tourists here in May, June, and September.

Yes, free parking is available for guests arriving by car. Since buses from Imerovigli are often delayed during peak season, the hotel recommends renting a car if you want to visit beaches in the south of the island, such as Perissa or Perivolos, or take trips to Akrotiri and the vineyards.
