About the hotel
Hotel Bologna is in a quiet corner of Prague's Old Town and is housed in a meticulously restored Functionalist-style building constructed in 1927. The rooms feature a design that blends classic and modern styles, and some of the suites on the top floor open onto a private terrace with views of Prague Castle and Petřín Hill. The Rotunda of the Holy Cross is a two-minute walk away, and just around the corner are the Theatre on the Balustrade and a statue of Sigmund Freud holding onto the balustrade with one hand. The hotel is ideal for couples who want to explore the city on foot, as well as for travellers who enjoy visiting the city’s sights.
How to get to the hotel
Václav Havel Airport Prague is about a 30-minute drive from the hotel. When you make a reservation, the hotel will arrange a private transfer for you that will take you directly to the hotel entrance. Guests arriving by train will arrive at Prague Main Station (Praha hlavní nádraží). From there, the hotel is about a 10-minute ride by taxi or tram. For guests arriving by car, the hotel offers its own secure garage on the premises. For a hotel located so close to the city centre, this amenity is a rarity.

What is the cheapest month to visit Prague?
Since the Christmas markets are already over in January and February, and the first spring tourists haven’t arrived yet, prices in Prague are generally at their lowest during this time. Airfare and hotel rates drop, the lines at the castle and Charles Bridge get shorter, and between sightseeing trips, you can relax in a cozy pub. Since it’s cold outside and it sometimes snows, be sure to dress warmly before heading out.
How many days in Prague is enough?
Three or four days is just the right amount of time for a trip to Prague. On the first day, you can take your time exploring the Old Town and Charles Bridge; the next day — Prague Castle and the Lesser Town, and on the third day — the Jewish Quarter, Josefov, and round out the day in a relaxed atmosphere with a cup of coffee or a glass of beer. If you’d like to take day trips to Kutná Hora or Český Krumlov, you should plan for one more day.
Is Prague worth visiting in April?
Prague has a climate with four distinct seasons. Summers here are warm and full of life, and the riverbanks are bustling with activity until late at night. In the fall, mild days follow one another, the parks turn a golden-yellow colour; winter is cold and often snowy; and in December, the city is adorned with the lights of Christmas markets. Spring is mild, with occasional rain, but the transitional seasons are generally the calmest and the most beautiful time for strolling through the city.
