Arrival and first steps into the Old Town
Once youโve dropped off your luggage at the hotel, head out for a walk right away. Since the Ursuline Convent is right next to the hotel, start your walk there. Walk to the โRotunda of the Holy Crossโโone of Pragueโs oldest surviving structuresโand then stroll through the narrow streets toward the river to catch your first glimpse of the castleโs silhouette. End the evening, consider ending the day at the โU U Flekลฏโ pub, located just a few minutesโ walk from the hotel, sitting at a wooden table and enjoying a dark lager.

What are the main do's and don'ts in Prague?
Be sure to carry small change in Czech korunas. In many places, korunas are preferred over euros. Exchange money only at official exchange offices and under no circumstances on the street. Be sure to validate your ticket before boarding a tram. Try not to leave cash on the table without specifying the amount as a tip, and avoid ordering dishes from the menu without checking the prices on the tourist streets around Old Town Square.
What is the cheapest month to visit Prague?
Since the hustle and bustle of the Christmas markets dies down in January and February, and demand before Easter de isnโt quite as high yet, these months generally feature the lowest prices. Of course, you should expect cold weather, but itโs easier to get a table at restaurants, and hotel rates are lower.
