Hotel Unique ๐ Design-led hotel experience
Iconic design with rooftop views and stylish rooms ๐
Why we love it
The setting
Hotel Unique sits in the Jardins district of Sao Paulo, a short walk from Ibirapuera Park. The building is one of the city's most recognisable, a curved wedge designed by Ruy Ohtake, and the design carries through to the interiors. Rooms are calm and pared back, with light wood, white linen and a round porthole window that frames the greenery outside. The location keeps you close to the park while leaving the noise of the centre behind.
What to expect
Rooms are quiet and uncluttered, built around natural materials and plenty of daylight. The rooftop is the draw here: a long deck with a red-tiled pool, sun loungers and views that stretch across the skyline towards the city's towers. There is a bar and restaurant up top, a spa and a fitness area downstairs, and a lobby filled with art and oversized seating. Breakfast is not included as standard, so add it when you book if you want it.
Things to do nearby
Ibirapuera Park is the obvious starting point, about a kilometre away, with its lakes, running paths and museums. Casa das Rosas, a literary house and garden, is around 2.5 km off. Two metro stations, AACD-Servidor and Oscar Freire, put the rest of the city within easy reach, both roughly 2.3 to 2.4 km from the door. The Jardins streets nearby are good for shops, cafes and restaurants.

Rooftop and sunset
Settle in and head straight up to the rooftop. The deck and pool look out over the skyline, and it is a fine spot to watch the light change over the city. Have a first drink at the bar before dinner.
Ibirapuera Park day
Walk over to Ibirapuera Park for the morning, taking in the lakes and the museums dotted around the grounds. Come back for an afternoon swim, then explore the Jardins streets for dinner.
Spa and last morning
Use the last morning for the spa or one more swim before checkout. If there is time, stop at Casa das Rosas or browse the shops along Oscar Freire on the way out.
